PostAuthor: taco » Wed Nov 04, 2009 3:01 am

ok well as u all know i moved and couldnt get internet on my tower so no steam gaming action.

now im in my new appt not my uncles and am stealing really good internet on my laptop but for some reason my tower wont get good connection or a connection at all. i just got a new wireless card yesterday and its a d-link n band card which is definatly equipped to get a good signal. so my laptop is 5 inches from my tower but i only get like a 2 download and 1.2 upload on speedtest.net and liek 28 download and 2 upload on my laptop. wtf? can someone with vista 64x or anyone who knows tell me the solution to this stupid bullshit? i need to play games and prepare for the l4d 2 release!!!

lol here are your problems.

1. you are using vista.
2. just because your laptop has a good card doesnt mean it will improve its download/upload speed by much
3. you are using vista.
4. your wireless modem is PROBABLY firewalled
5. you are using vista.
6. your wireless modem is PROBABLY not something with N, but possible G strength.
7. you are using vista.
8. you have a shitty connection so connecting directly through the wire probably wouldnt make much of a difference anyway.
9. you are using vista.
10. you are NOT using windows 7.
